just finished reading e third story in e "different seasons - the shawshank redemption". it was really very sad. it was really meaningful even though stephen king decided to do everyone a favour by dashing in at least 300 instances of e f-word. or variations of it. full of cussing and effing and lotsa of old junk. but i agree tt e message wouldn't be brought across if he hadn't. i've only read 3 or 4 of his stories, but i notice a pattern. most of them (if not all) occur in maine. usually there is a time laspe, beginning somewhere in e 1950s-1960s and ending up in 'today' (aka as 1975s-actual today?) but i wouldn't really know because i've read so few of em.

haven't really been studying, which is bad... there's a hcl test and and a maths test on thur. luckily history not on tt thur. mrs tan actually said it would be nxt nxt thur, but luckily tt thur is labour day. ahem. so it'll have to be on wed PW period. hooray!!! i hate PW because we can't get anything done. and i hate it everytime she comes and asks us how we're progressing. because we haven't! e primary teacher hasn't even confirmed everything. feel quite sad because most of e primary teachers have changed and even mrs han has left. was just looking through alot of ppl's blogs when i realise how many ppl like jap stuff like anime and manga etc etc e language, e characters. which is fine, but i've never been a fan of those...stuff. i remeber tt i wanted to learn jap after in sec1, and i was eligible for e 3rd lang thing but my mum refused to let me learn. she insisted on me taking MEP and nothing else and we had arguements for ages and now i absolutely regret taking MEP now. absolutely hate it. e programme is run by a bunch of sadists. in retrospect, if given e chance to learn a 3rd lang, i would not want to learn jap. not malay. mebbe spanish (not tt it was offered) or french, but definitely german. i love e way germans speak as if they had a gigantic wad of phlegm stuck in their throats. or tt they have a very funny way of saying 'shit'. like, bang in e wall "Schizer!", trip on ur shoelaces "Schizer!" fall down e stairs "Schizer!"

Which Cartoon Cat Are You? Quiz by gypsydance
e SARS thing is really getting out of hand. when i went to church yest, we cldn't venerate e cross (ok fine, i admit i've always hated venerating e cross), still cldn't hold hands and i dun even remeber making peace w e ppl front back left right. was v angry w my mum cos she was (and is) still obsessed w e billings ovulation method thing she picked up at her conference and she kept trying to intrude. watched e prince of egypt last night (fourth or fifth time) and my brother went "isn't tt what they show every good friday? it's like e most 'religious' mainstream show they have." and i find it true, really. it's like every christmas, they have to show e stupid home alone/the santa clause/jingle all e way because tt's e only 'christmassy' shows they have anyway. good grief. it gets kinda old. i think i watched home alone (part 1 and 2) at least 10 times. these channel 5 ppl pride themselves on getting e best and e newest movies and they still have to show awful re-runs.

it rains at 3 every good friday, doesn't it? because there's thunder and lightning now and 3 mins to go. isn't seeing whether it rains or not testing god?
v interesting. my cousin's maltese had ticks, and they sent her (e maltese, not my cousin) to the groomers and they extricated one tick half e size of a thumb. and they had to shave off all her fur, poor thing. e dog has a curly tail, and my cousin said she looks like a little piglet now. so cute!

whew. good thing e whole thing just blew over. more homework today. chem + physics + chinese now. plus i have to do e 6th journal. arrggh. missed srcubs today because i was trying to read through chemistry chapter 6. read finished e shawshank redemption. was really good. now i noe where they got e phrase tt they wrote on our board in term 1. "hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies."AtI first i thought it was some cornified phrase (i hope i'm not offending anyone with this) and quite nonsensical, to boot. now i think it's still really cornified, and quite nonsensical, but now i'm quite horrified because stephen king used tt in his book (mebbe even coined e phrase, whichever). him? cold-blooded, sadistic, de-sentizied him? hmm.
